HP Utility is printer management software that installs with the full feature Mac print driver package. With it, you can check current printer status, view remaining ink levels, check network settings, and more. This document contains answers to the most frequently asked questions about HP Utility.

How do I open HP Utility |
When you install the full feature printer software on your Mac computer from the HP website, HP Utility installs automatically and should be available. Use the following method to check for and open HP Utility.
Step 1: Check if HP Utility is installed on the Mac |
To see if HP Utility is installed on the Mac, open Finder, click Go in the top menu bar, click Applications, double-click the HP folder, then double-click HP Utility.

If HP Utility displays a setup and activation screen, click Continue to complete the software setup.

If HP Utility is not in the Application list, continue to the next step to install the full feature driver.
Step 2: Install the driver and add printer to the Mac |
HP Utility is part of the full feature software. Install the full feature driver from the HP website.
